Above-normal warmth will mark the start of the French Open on Monday before more seasonable temperatures will return.
The two-week tournament will host some of the world's greatest tennis players in Paris, starting on Monday.
Late May is usually a comfortable time in the French capital, with highs in the upper 60s F (around 20 C). However, the first day of tournament play will feel much more like late July.
"Afternoon temperatures in Paris will reach the upper 70s F (around 25 C) on Monday, which is well above normal" said AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys.

Despite some clouds mixing in, the sunshine throughout the day will be strong, and can cause a sunburn for spectators and players alike. Those spending time outside should wear protective clothing and sunblock, as well as drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
This heat will come ahead of a storm system moving across the United Kingdom and western France during the day on Monday. Any possible wet weather will wait until the nighttime hours when the cold front with this storm passes through.

For the middle of the week, tennis fans and players will have much more comfortable conditions. Increasing amounts of sun are expected on Tuesday with high temperatures near normal, around 70 F (21 C).
Temperatures are expected to remain around normal with sunshine and some clouds into the end of the week as high pressure from the Atlantic Ocean holds over the region, keeping generally dry conditions in the forecast. Despite the more comfortable weather, the sun can still be strong enough to cause sunburns, so those outside should protect themselves from the sun.
Philippe-Chatrier Court, the primary venue at Roland Garros, remains the only stadium out of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments that does not have a roof to help avoid lengthy rain delays. However, plans are underway so that the venue will have a roof by 2020.
