South winds continue to transport unusually mild and moist air north
across the area as high pressure moves out to sea.
Areas of fog will continue developing and become locally dense,
restricting visibilities to 1/4 mile or less mainly from New York
City north and east across Southern Connecticut and Long Island.
This fog is forecast to persist through Saturday morning.
Motorists should be alert while driving into rapidly reduced visibilities.
Remember to slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty
of distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed.
