Following a mild Thanksgiving and Black Friday, noticeably cooler air will return to the Northeast this weekend.
Temperatures are forecast to fall to near normal in most locations, with some areas dropping up to 5 degrees Fahrenheit below normal.
Mild Conditions in the Northeast for Black Friday
While this cooldown may seem unimpressive, especially at this point in November, it will be quite noticeable after a mild end to the week.
"A front crossing the Northeast Friday night into early Saturday will bring a modest cooldown to the region for the weekend," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dan Pydynowski said.

"This chill will move into locations that had very mild conditions toward the end of the week," Pydynowski said.
High temperatures through Friday will range between 10 and 15 degrees above average.
Jackets that may have been put back in the closet during the late-November mild spell will be needed for anyone heading to college or NFL football games or putting up holiday decorations this weekend.
Breezy winds, especially along the New England coast, will also make it feel cooler than the actual temperature.
AccuWeather RealFeel Temperatures® will range from the middle to upper 20s in portions of Maine to the middle 30s and low 40s across the rest of the Northeast.

As this system pushes through, portions of upstate New York and New England could also have a few snowflakes flying late Friday night into early Saturday morning.
A quick coating is possible across these areas, with up to an inch of snow in the highest elevations.
Light rain is also expected to accompany this system, mainly during Saturday morning.
Most locations across the Northeast will dry out for the last half of the weekend, with the exception being the mid-Atlantic where rain could linger into Sunday.
Milder air is expected to return by the middle of next week.
