Unseasonably cold conditions will hold in the Boston area through this weekend, before temperatures moderate early next week.
Temperatures are forecast to average 10-20 degrees below normal through Sunday. Average temperatures range from a low in the middle 30s to a high near 50 F.
Along with the cold will be a biting wind and some snow on Saturday. The steadiest snow will fall over southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. A few neighborhoods west of Boston could receive enough snow to coat the ground, where the precipitation is heavy enough.

Where the snow showers do visit, most roads will be just wet, except for the early morning hours.
After the cold bottoms out on Sunday morning with a low in the 20s, temperatures are projected to recover a bit Sunday afternoon.
Snowflakes could pay yet another visit to the area.
A storm system passing through could bring snow showers Sunday night into early Monday.

The weather next week will feature several days with temperatures near average for late March and early April.
A storm may lead to wet and cooler conditions toward the Easter weekend.
