Minneapolis: Wrath of Frigid Air to Stretch Into New Week

Cold air will continue to fill the Minneapolis area into next week with only a brief window of slightly higher temperatures.
Subzero or single-digit temperatures will reign into the new week. Overnight temperatures will struggle to hit close to the zero F mark. Some evening lows could approach near the minus 10 mark.

As the workweek begins, temperatures could begin on a slight rising trend, reaching into the low 20s.
However, the warmer daytime conditions will be accompanied with gusty southwestward winds. This could make AccuWeather RealFeel® temperatures seem much lower.
Temperatures should stay consistent into Tuesday; however, the area could see some snow.

"There could be a light snow on Tuesday with up to 3 inches possible," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Maggie Samuhel said.
The snow will be short-lived, however, as temperatures plummet near midweek.
