In the wake of the snowstorm that grazed the Pittsburgh area on Wednesday, the region will only have to contend with minor weather-related issues this Thanksgiving weekend.
Some flight delays are still possible due to displaced aircraft and crews.
In the wake of the Wednesday storm, travel conditions on Thanksgiving Day will slowly improve with the aid of partial sunshine and above-freezing temperatures. However, secondary roads may still be snow-covered and slippery in the morning toward the Laurel Highlands.
Snow showers around the area on Thursday will bring little or no accumulation.

Wet and slushy areas may freeze Thursday night. Early Black Friday shoppers should be on the lookout for areas of clear (black) ice. Not all surfaces will have had a chance to dry off.
No significant frozen precipitation is forecast from Friday through the day on Sunday.
Skiers can expect great conditions with fresh natural snow on the slopes, despite a warming trend this weekend.
Highs will be in the 40s F on Saturday and well into the 50s on Sunday. Both days of the weekend will bring some sunshine.
Shoppers and Steelers fans heading out on Sunday will be able to trade heavy winter coats with light weight jackets and fleece. A shower cannot be ruled out Sunday.
Cooler air will return on Monday with a high in the 40s.
