Philly: Halloween Chiller to Hit After Midweek Warmth

October 27,2014; 9:00PM,EDT

A front will bring dramatically colder air to Philadelphia during Halloween night after a surge of late-summerlike air moves at midweek.
An area of high pressure which brought numerous record-high temperatures over the central U.S. this weekend will spread into the area Tuesday into Wednesday.
Temperatures will rise into the 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday. The record-high temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday are 85 and 79, respectively. While record-breaking high temperatures are not expected, it will feel quite warm for late October.

A storm system forecast to develop nearby will truncate the warmth by way of clouds and showers during the middle and latter part of the week, ahead of Halloween.
After a push of cooler air settles in Thursday into the daytime hours on Halloween, a blast of much colder air will move in Friday night into Saturday. The combination of wind, temperature, showers and other conditions will produce AccuWeather RealFeel® temperatures dipping into the 30s.
Parts of the interior Northeast will receive accumulating snow Friday night into Saturday as the atmosphere heralds the arrival of November.
