While the weekend will conclude with the chance for showers and thunderstorms, the new week will see cooler temperatures and pleasant conditions through midweek.
It will be humid on Sunday with a couple of showers and breezy conditions in the afternoon.
The Chicago Cubs will host the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday in the finale of their three-game series at Wrigley Field. However, due to the chance for showers and thunderstorms, the game, which is scheduled for 1:20 p.m. CDT, could have weather delays.

Highs on Monday and Tuesday will be in the mid-70s, with partly sunny conditions both days.
The chance of a shower or thunderstorm will return Wednesday, as temperatures approach 80 F. Looking ahead to late week, Thursday and Friday will each see the chance for an afternoon thunderstorm.
