After the onset of passing showers and thunderstorms late in the week, drier weather will persist in the Dallas area into early next week.
"It's a typical summertime pattern across northeast Texas, including the Dallas area, through the remainder of this week," AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Edwards said.

Partly sunny skies can be expected on Thursday with a few showers and thunderstorms crossing through the area.
High temperatures will be in the upper 80s and will near 90, he said.
"Friday will start dry with some sunshine, but a thunderstorm or two will pop up in the afternoon, especially to the south and east of Dallas," Edwards said.

Highs once again around 90 degrees.
Drier weather is expected for the weekend with partly sunny skies both Saturday and Sunday and highs creeping up into the lower 90s, which is right about normal for this time of year, he added.
Dry weather will persist on Monday with a high near 95.
