The return of thunderstorms to Chicago will coincide with Memorial Day.
Another dry day is shaping up for Chicago on Sunday as sunshine mixes with clouds. Temperatures are expected to soar to the 80-degree mark as humidity remains low.
As the series between the New York Yankees and the Chicago White Sox continues Sunday at U.S. Cellular Field, the weather will cooperate. Fans will want to cover up as the risk for sunburn will rise this weekend.

For Memorial Day, temperatures will breach the 80 F mark, but a shower or thunderstorm rumbling through during the day could dampen holiday parades and activities.

The air will also be humid on Monday so anyone outdoors should bring plenty of water to avoid dehydration.
For those planning to spend a part of the holiday swimming, remember that cold water shock is a threat for anyone jumping into Lake Michigan and unheated pools.

The storminess will continue through at least Tuesday.
