This week in Detroit will start out with temperatures well below normal for this time of year.
After a cold Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will follow suit with temperatures approaching the freezing mark. A little bit of snow is also in the forecast for Tuesday, but accumulation will be minimal.
Temperatures will challenge a 2001 record overnight Tuesday as they approach the single digits.

Despite periods of sunshine Wednesday, the air will still feel cold as temperatures dip below freezing during the daytime hours.
After midweek, some milder weather is in store for Detroit.

Beginning Thursday, temperatures will rise and reach into the high 50s by Sunday.
However, rain showers will plague the area both Thursday and Friday. Sunshine is in store for both weekend days before showers return again on Monday.
