Triple-Digit Heat Returns to Dallas

Dallas is in for a prolonged stretch of triple-digit heat and unwanted dry weather.
A stubborn dome of heat is taking up residence across the southern Plains and will not depart through at least early next week.
As a result, Dallas and most of Texas will see temperatures soar past the century mark on a daily basis. The triple-digit heat will also eventually expand to Oklahoma City.
Humidity will not be extremely high, but high enough to add to the discomfort of the air and create hotter AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures.

With the intense heat will come an extended spell of dry weather, which only threatens to worsen the ongoing drought around Dallas.
The United States Drought Monitor reported that Dallas was in the midst of a severe drought when it released its most recent report last Thursday.
