* A PORTION OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...AUSTIN...BRAZORIA...BRAZOS...BURLESON...CHAMBERS... COLORADO...FORT BEND...GALVESTON...GRIMES...HARRIS...HOUSTON... JACKSON...LIBERTY...MADISON...MATAGORDA...MONTGOMERY...POLK... SAN JACINTO...TRINITY...WALKER...WALLER...WASHINGTON...AND WHARTON.
* THROUGH LATE TONIGHT
* WIDESPREAD RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL OVERSPREAD SOUTHEAST TEXAS THIS MORNING AS A STORM SYSTEM MOVES ACROSS THE STATE. THE RAIN EVENT WILL LIKELY PERSIST INTO THIS EVENING AS DEEP TROPICAL MOISTURE IS FOCUSED ACROSS THE AREA. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR STORM TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS TO AVERAGE BETWEEN 3 AND 5 INCHES...WITH ISOLATED AMOUNTS TO 6 INCHES OR MORE POSSIBLE WHEREVER TRAINING OF SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS OCCUR.
